本系列讲座关注和“通信-感知-计算-能量融合网络”相关的基础理论和技术,既包括和时延敏感网络相关的网络算子(Network Calculus)基础理论,又包括考量社会属性的通感融合新视野,也有基于液体天线的新型接入技术FAMA以及数据和能量一体化网络DEIN的最新进展等。演讲者来自国内外在此领域的知名专家和活跃的科研践行者,希望能给大家带来更多的思考和科研指导/激情。

本系列讲座是由电子科技大学数能网络实验室DEINLab主办,电子科技大学长三角研究院(衢州)协办。

六、内容简介:

There is a broad range of applications, such as extended reality (XR), autonomous driving, industrial control, and tactile Internet, which are highly time-sensitive and demand their data being communicated and processed with bounded end-to-end latency and no or close to no loss. This not only requires a departure from the throughput-oriented or average-delay-satisfactory design but also a theory to guide the new design. For the former, URLLC (ultra-reliable low-latency communications) and TSN (Time-Sensitive Networking) / DetNet (Deterministic Networking) represent the trends. For the latter, the network calculus (NC) theory has a rich set of related results. In this talk, an introduction to the NC theory will be provided. Another focus will be on giving examples demonstrating the application of the NC theory in time-sensitive communication (e.g. URLLC), networking (e.g. TSN/DetNet), and computing (server system). 

七、主讲人简介



Prof. Yuming Jiang received his BSc degree from Peking University and PhD degree from National University of Singapore (NUS). Before his PhD study, he worked with Motorola. From 2001 to 2003, he was with the Institute for Infocomm Research (I2R), Singapore as a Research Scientist. In 2004, he joined NTNU - Norwegian University of Science and Technology, where he has been a full Professor since 2005. He visited Northwestern University, USA, from Aug 2009 - July 2010, and Columbia University, USA, from Aug 2015 - July 2016.

His research interests are in the provision and analysis of quality of service guarantees in communication networks, network dependability, and network calculus. In the area of network calculus, his focus has been on developing fundamental models and investigating their basic properties, as well as applying the theory to performance analysis of various types of networks and systems. In particular, he has made fundamental contributions to the stochastic network calculus theory including a dedicated book on the topic, titled Stochastic Network Calculus. In addition, a recent effort is on investigating basic properties of the traffic and service models adopted in time-sensitive networking (TSN) and deterministic networking (DetNet).

He was Co-Chair of IEEE Globecom 2005 — General Conference Symposium, TPC Co-Chair of 67th IEEE Vehicular Technology Conference (VTC) 2008, Steering Committee Chair of the International Symposium on Wireless Communication Systems (ISWCS) since 2009, General Chair of IFIP Networking 2014 Conference, Chair of 2018 International Workshop on Network Calculus and Applications (NetCal 2018), and TPC Co-Chair of the 32nd International Teletraffic Congress (ITC32), 2020.
